Glocomms is currently partnered with a Global mapping network with over $20M in total funding and more mapping data then Google maps. Our client is looking for a Staff Software Engineer with a deep knowledge of Spark and building out ETL pipelines from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
- Build ETL pipelines from scratch to deal with large volumes of data
- Work on their best in class ML methods for their Data Platform team
- Collaborate with cross functional teams such as product, growth, and other engineering teams to work on delivering their data-intensive platform solutions
- Work on data abstractions that scale 100s of millions of square kilometers across time
Who are you:
- Have a in depth knowledge of Spark
- 7+ years of Engineering experience
- Built out ETL pipelines from the ground up
- Proficient with programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, JavaScript
Nice to Have:
- Computer Science Degree
- Experience working with distributed systems
- Experience building out Products 0-1
- Start-up experience
