Overview
Our client, a leading company in the motor vehicle industry, is seeking a skilled DevOps Tooling Engineer to
join their team on a long-term freelance basis. The engineer will play a critical role in supporting and
enhancing the development and deployment processes, ensuring high standards of code quality and
deployment efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist Project Teams:
Support Design and Development:
- Administer and support a suite of advanced development tools.
- Standardize and streamline development and deployment practices, ensuring top-notch code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Implement and manage sophisticated versioning strategies using tailored Git workflows.
2. Enhance Jenkins CI/CD Deployment:
Innovate and Enrich:
- Lead the industrialization of deployment processes for new projects and enhance existing ones.
- Drive best practices adoption to maximize efficiency and minimize risks.
- Integrate cutting-edge technologies and pipeline modules (e.g., Jira integration, API publishing, dependency management).
- Create intuitive dashboards to provide clear visibility on pipeline status and content.
3. Strengthen Quality Approaches:
Elevate Code Quality:
- Integrate and manage top-tier code quality control tools (SonarQube, Fortify) with comprehensive dashboards.
- Champion automated testing processes to ensure robust, high-quality deliverables and deployments.
- Seamlessly connect business applications with leading monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, ELK, Centreon,
- Dynatrace).

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a track record of successful projects.
- Proficiency in Jenkins CI/CD, SonarQube, BitBucket, GitLab, Nexus, Splunk, and Fortify.
- Deep understanding of code quality controls and automated testing processes.
- Familiarity with leading monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK, Centreon, or Dynatrace.
- Exceptional documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
